Metropolitan Value
About The Value of the Metropolitan:
The Convertible Metropolitan is almost worth twice as much as a hard top in similar condition. The earlier Metropolitans with the standard 1200 cc engine, hood scoop, and single color are rare, but still worth the same as the later Metropolitan, if not a little lesser in value. Your best bet in value would be a late model hard top, of preferably the convertible with a trunk lid, and the 1500 cc engine or the 1500 cc HC engine.
Most of the Metropolitan that you will find for sale today, would be of average value. This is due to the fact
that they will have a average restoration rather then a ground up restoration. There have been some Metropolitan
Convertibles sold after a ground up restoration, from between $18,000.00 to $25,500.00,
with one know to sell for $37,500.00.
